Innovative Business Software Press Release

IRVING, Texas. April 02, 2008 – Innovative Business Software (IBS), a developer of software solutions for commercial and residential security alarm companies, announced today that it has expanded its Security Business NET (SBN) central station management software to allow central stations to offer end user management of video and access control. The new application was developed in conjunction with Digital Synthesis L. L. C. utilizing their revolutionary Digital Fabric technology specifically to give users of IBS software access to significant RMR opportunities.

The Digital Synthesis-powered Digital SBN module extends the capabilities of IBS' SBN automation to enable web-browser control of video across disparate DVRs/cameras and access control functionality. Full Digital SBN integration of video monitoring, access control, intrusion and fire alarm systems allows management by the Central Station and offers end users the ability to manage their account, all through the Internet.

The unique capability to manage multiple Central Station, installer and end user requirements is made possible by Digital Fabric, a platform created by Oregon-based Digital Synthesis that permits web browser control of disparate devices and systems in a facility.

"In developing our video- access control internet strategy, we determined that Digital Synthesis was the ideal choice to help us enhance the productivity, RMR and customer satisfaction of our software users" said Andreas Jensen, Vice President of Development at IBS. "In building the joint solution with Digital Synthesis, we carefully listened to our customers to design the software they asked for and needed. Dana Hersom, founder & CEO of Digital Synthesis, then developed to those unmet needs".

San Antonio, TX - In January of 2008, Digital Synthesis and United Central Control, Inc. (UCC) signed an agreement for UCC to provide video monitoring and management services as well as access control monitoring, hosting and management services through Digital Synthesis’ revolutionary new platform. UCC is offering this service to its customer base through a newly branded platform to be known as “UCC iConnect”.

Digital Synthesis L.L.C. and the Digital Fabric™ concept was created in 2006 by Dana Hersom, a 30 year security industry integration pioneer and William Freeman a major telecom executive of over 25 years to provide a totally new Software as a Service platform. (SAAS)

UCC is a wholesale to the trade alarm monitoring company located in San Antonio, Texas. UCC has provided monitoring services to the alarm industry for over 25 years. The company monitors approximately 150,000 subscriber accounts for roughly 350 installing alarm dealers throughout the United States.

Digital Synthesis CEO, Dana Hersom, stated, “We are excited to work with UCC. In searching for a central station partner, we chose UCC because of the professionalism of their staff, their commitment to new technology and because of their very impressive physical plant. We are also impressed with UCC’s sales and marketing capabilities and we are confident in their ability to successfully launch the iConnect platform.”

UCC Senior Vice President, Mark Matlock, stated, “The landscape of alarm monitoring is quickly evolving and it is UCC’s focus to deliver innovative new technologies to our customer base. The UCC iConnect platform also allows for our company to offer them revolutionary new revenue opportunities and enhanced service offerings.”

The UCC iConnect platform is revolutionary in that it connects a myriad of separate security devices and other objects used in our daily lives.
i-Connect is enabled and powered under the hood with “Digital Fabric™ technology enabling not only connection and control of security devices and entire scalable systems to be controlled and monitored anytime, anywhere from a distance, but uniquely, lets different devices interconnect to do something new, become interoperable and more useful via the internet. This platform is layered on top of UCC’s existing DICE automation software. The process allows for multiple video, access control and alarm system control functions to be streamed seamlessly through a common Internet based gateway.

Something Exciting is Happening
Oregon Based “Digital Synthesis LLC” Announces – “New Integrated Software as a Service” (SaaS) Model

The “world information revolution” experience has been accelerated once again into the "Connection Revolution." To put this into a time and speed perspective, the radio is 110 years old and the microprocessor just under 50. The Internet is argued to be only around 15 to 20 years old as we now use it. In the last 5 years these technologies have moved ever closer to a synthesis of Internet, microprocessors and Wireless technologies into a unified “Pervasive Network.” Wireless network and embedded Internet applications are now being put on computer chips and extended to the latest gold mine opportunity of Software as a Service (SaaS), powered by the increased reliability of internet and world of Networks.

As a result, Digital Synthesis L.L.C. and the Digital Fabric ™ concept was created in 2006 by Dana Hersom and William Freeman to fulfill this phenomenal business need. This new SaaS software platform connects a myriad of separate devices and objects used in our daily lives. Devices are now being connected to networks from televisions and security systems to industrial machinery and farmland crops. Sensors are even being placed in the human body to perform useful life saving medical tasks. Network connectivity exists and is now waiting for communications and "value-add" service application models to drive it.

"Digital Fabric technology enables not only connection and control of devices and entire scalable systems to be exercised from a distance, but uniquely lets different devices interconnect to do something new, become interoperable and more useful via the internet" stated Digital Synthesis CEO Dana Hersom.

Network Evolution Diagram

This year around 10 billion microprocessors will be sold, embedded in everything from computers to coffee makers to advanced security systems. The vast majority of them will be able to think but not talk: they perform specific tasks, but cannot communicate. But this is now rapidly changing through technologies offered by Digital Synthesis LLC.

Estimates completed in 2006; confirm 68% of the US population uses the internet and there are over 1.8 billion internet users worldwide. There are 2.8 billion cellular phones in use with a further 1.6 million being added everyday. Computer processing and cellular phones themselves are improving at an exponential rate. This boom is spilling over into other areas of wireless and internet connectivity requiring purposeful linking of machines, sensors, devices and objects.

Researching and developing in this area, Digital Synthesis’ Engineering Laboratory located in Las Vegas leveraged all of the benefits of computing-innovation, short software / hardware development cycles and lower costs into the security industry that are currently being extended throughout wireless and internet communications.

Digital Synthesis has now released and supports unprecedented new applications with high value propositions and massive market potential through SaaS and related service revenue models. Digital Synthesis is now the validated leader and innovator driving the "Connectivity" and Recurring Monthly Revenue (RMR) paradigms in the security industry.
